Created by The Cigar Captain’s very own Guest Authors Mark “Cap’n Slappy” Summers and John “Ol’ Chumbucket” Baur, International Talk Like A Pirate Day has become a runaway success and is celebrated every September 19th..
Every year, thousands of people worldwide celebrate the day with food, drink, and of course, cigars! If you don’t believe me, take a look at this year’s participants on Google Maps! As you can see, pirates everywhere join in and this year, why not join them? The Alec Bradley Tempus Centuria is an impressive cigar. The Tempus comes wrapped in a dark colorado maduro leaf from the Trojes region of Honduras and boasting a Costa Rican binder and four country longfiller blend which includes some Criollo ’98 and Corojo from the Trojes region as well. Full of rich, thick smoke and deep earthy and woody aromas, the 7” by 49 Centuria is box-pressed beauty. Full bodied with a rich, full flavor cast the Tempus is one of Alec Bradley’s highest rated premium cigar lines. Set aside a good 90 minutes to slowly enjoy this treat from Alec Bradley.

The Cain Daytona is a recent line extension to the wildly popular Cain line by the Oliva Cigar Company. Known for their strength, the Cain line boasts a “straight ligero” filler blend from the Jalapa region of Nicaragua, and is quite hearty. The Daytona is a more subtle addition to the line, featuring an Ecuadorian wrapper in place of the original Nicaraguan leaf. The Cain Daytona is a medium bodied cigar that still delivers big on flavor. Featuring a more robust Dominican filler blend with a Dominican binder, the Montecristo Red uses a chestnut brown Connecticut wrapper all of which combine into a cigar of a medium body and amazing aroma.
